Technology Abstract
Presented by Michigan News

Researchers at the University of Michigan and NASA exposed a major vulnerability in a networking technology widely used in critical infrastructures. The vulnerability exists in a network protocol and hardware system called time-triggered ethernet, or TTE, which allows mission-necessary equipment and less important devices to coexist on the same network, increasing efficiency and lowering network prices. The team discusses how they discovered the attack and how the attack works.
