U-M Department of Economics, Public Policy and Population Studies Center research professor Dean Yang discusses the importance of social connections in attitudes and actions affecting lives and livelihoods regarding his work in the African nation, Mozambique. Yang highlights his latest research project in Mozambique and what Americans should know about it in relation with the current pandemic. His plan involves boosting social distancing to lessen the spread of COVID-19, noting that decision-making affects well-being in that we need to work together to help places who do not have the resources to stop the spread of the virus.
