COVID-19 has killed more than four hundred thousand Americans and infected more than twenty-four million people. A recent study found that the deaths and cases were not even across the country. The study highlights the more disadvantaged a county’s population was before the pandemic, the higher the toll of COVID-19 last spring and summer.
