Increasing voter turnout is always a struggle during elections, especially with certain demographics. Professors Stephanie Rowden and Hannah Smotrich of the Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design are the co-leads of the Creative Campus Voting Project on the U-M campus, which aims to make lifelong voters out of students on campus. The professors’ efforts are showing dividends, as they have noted a substantial increase in campus voter turnout.
