Those who found out they had a penicillin allergy may no longer be affected by it. Michigan Medicine initiated a project to help those that are allergic to drugs to determine their current status. Evaluating the allergy labels to help patients receive the best care possible is one of the project’s primary goals. Rajan Ravikumar, M.D., assistant professor of Internal Medicine and assistant medical director, discusses the purpose of the project and the impact it can have on the treatment of patients.
