Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, doctors have postponed treatments and surgeries for cancer patients. It is difficult for doctors to compare the long-term risk to a patient who had to postpone their care to the risk posed by COVID-19 itself. The University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center developed a web-based application to assess the risk from prolonging treatment.
