Asthma, a disease in which the airways become inflamed and narrowed, leading to difficulty breathing, can stem from many systemic, environmental, and individual factors. Researchers at the University of Michigan are working to alienate these factors to reduce the burden of this life-altering disease. The research consists of studying the microbiome of the lungs to learn more about asthma effects.
