Nancy A. Shenker considers herself a dual citizen of the digital and analog worlds, innovator, and mentor. A former C-level executive (Citibank, Mastercard, and Reed Exhibitions—the producers of Comic-Con), she launched her own brand consultancy (theONswitch) in 2003, before being a founder was considered the norm. She is a content strategist/writer for many companies and a freelance senior editor and researcher at Street Fight Magazine. She also produces a podcast called Age Blind and supports intergenerational collaboration. A published award-winning author, she has a degree in English and Psychology from the University of Michigan and a graduate diploma from NYU’s Publishing Program. She has two grown daughters and three grandkids. “I’m just getting started!” is her mantra.
My Michigan “Why:” When I attended U of M, the student population was only 15% out of state. I learned how to assimilate into a new community and my English/Psych degrees have paid off, as I have spent my career as a branding expert and storyteller. Although I now work on a small screen rather than a mainframe, my tech career also began at the U of M. Relatively new to AZ, I’m confident my involvement will lead to new work and play relationships — just as they did in Michigan.
