Though Sergei Prokofiev is renowned for his ballet music, symphonies, and concertos, he also composed several film scores, including for Alexander Nevsky, the first of celebrated director Sergei Eisenstein’s films to feature sound. In this special event, the UMS Choral Union and the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra will perform the complete score live as the original film plays alongside them for the first time.
This event is open to the public. Tickets are required and available now at various price points.
