Dear Alumni Association Travelers,

Now is certainly a time for all of us to be as informed as possible about world affairs, travel-related news, and policies and decisions that could affect your travel. We understand that some of you may have concerns about upcoming or planned travel with the Alumni Association. We understand these concerns and want to take this opportunity to share some important information.

We carefully screen our travel vendors to ensure that we partner with highly reputable and experienced companies. We work with the vendors to select destinations with the safety of our travelers forefront in our minds. We vigilantly monitor travel announcements or warnings and modify any program as necessary to protect our passengers.

When you travel, you will notice a heightened level of security at airports. To ease your airport experience, please ensure that you are properly prepared. That includes carrying proper identification and allowing enough time for check-in and security measures. Helpful travel information, including a list of prohibited items, suggestions for luggage locks and other advice, can be found at the Transportation Security Administration's Web site at http://www.tsa.gov/public/.

You may also want to consider travel insurance. With travel insurance your investment is protected should you need to cancel for medical reasons or if there is a delay or interruption in your trip. Travel insurance does not cover cancellations based on "world conditions." Our travel insurance, offered through Travel Insurance Select, does include terrorism coverage but with very specific restrictions.
