Fall Colors Retreat

If you think Michigania is great in the summer, you should see it in the fall. You can surround yourself with spectacular autumn colors at the annual Fall Colors Retreat. Enjoy the crisp, cool nights. Take a walk underneath a canopy of colored leaves and leave the kids with their grandparents for this adult-only trip. Fall at Michigania is an experience you won’t forget.

Our program includes lodging, receptions, meals, and activities. Fall recreational activities include game-watching parties, ceramics, arts & crafts, hiking, horseback riding, archery, rock polishing, yoga, and campfires. Additional charges may apply in our Ceramics/Arts & Crafts area and Camp Store. The Fall Colors Retreat hosts U-M faculty members to lead forums that offer two presentations on their field of expertise, each concluding with a camper Q&A session.

Vaulted ceilings, knotty pine paneling, and magnificent views provide a charming atmosphere. The Alumnae Council Education Center offers meeting space, comfortable lounges, and six fieldstone fireplaces. With captivating views of the surrounding wooded area, wildlife, and lake, it’s an inviting space that encourages conversation or quiet reflection. All meals are served in the Education Center dining room, featuring rustic iron chandeliers and a gracious fireplace. Elegant candlelight dinners are only one of the special touches at the Fall Colors Retreat that make the Michigania experience unforgettable. Guest cabins are nestled adjacent to Walloon Lake with one or two bedrooms and their own private bath and shower. Cabin mates share a spacious gathering room, convenient for a game of cards, conversation, or a quiet hour of reading.

This event is reserved for adults only.
