SEE THE WORLD WITH BLUE

For all of us, the journey to Ann Arbor was one of many steps in a lifelong pursuit of learning, exploring and discovering. And while we’ve all left Michigan, it’s time to continue the journey as only Alumni members can. Guided by U-M faculty and travel experts, we’ll explore the African plains. We’ll paddle in the shadow of Alaska’s Chenega glacier. And we’ll experience another kind of big game at reserves like Tanzania’s Ngorongoro Crater. We’ve spent over half of a century perfecting unique journeys like these—and more—for our Alumni family. Our trip sizes are small. Exclusive. And each one the trip of a lifetime.

For journeys a little closer to home, Camp Michigania Walloon near Petoskey, Michigan and Camp Michigania East in New York’s tranquil Adirondack Mountains offer Alumni Association members and their families private settings for educational and recreational experiences during summer, fall and winter. From cross-country skiing to water skiing. From archery to arts and crafts. From sailing to softball, there’s a myriad of activities under the guidance of our friendly staff. Both camps offer the opportunity to connect with nature and family, while making new and enduring connections to current and future Alumni members.

  • Accommodations were excellent; our tour guide was phenomenal and exceeded our expectations.

  • Everything ran smoothly…the guide was fabulous. Enjoyed the group and the U-M professor who came with us. Great trip! Erika Greenfield, BA ’67

COME. BE AMAZED.

EXPERIENCE TRAVEL UNLIKE ANYTHING ELSE

WHY TRAVEL WITH US

At one time or another, we all left a handprint on the Cube. Now we have the chance to leave our footprint someplace new by traveling with the Alumni Association. Together, we’ll experience the very best that countries, cultures and cuisines have to offer in a way that few can. And the best part? Whether we’re in North Africa or Southeast Asia, we all speak the same language. We’re Wolverines, after all.

UNIQUE AND INTERESTING ITINERARIES

For over half a century, we’ve been traveling to one destination: different. We travel to places that have thousands of stories to tell. Places that are unreachable, except to us. Why travel just to travel when you can immerse, indulge and enrich with us.

EXTRAORDINARY TRAVEL BY AN EXTRAORDINARY TEAM

Every trip we offer is designed to enlighten, educate and fulfill. And who better to lead an extraordinary trip than an extraordinary team from U-M. Our experts, faculty and alumni lead, lecture and ensure you learn and live the culture that surrounds you.

EXPERIENCE 5-STAR EVERYTHING

We believe where you stay is just as important as what you experience. That’s why we seek the very best locations, search for the finest cuisine, and pursue superior service—for every trip and every single guest. After all, exceptional accommodations should never be a la carte.

STOKE YOUR FIRE FOR OUTDOOR ADVENTURE

Now and then, we all need a vacation from the hustle and bustle. And it’s easy to see why Camp Michigania has become a sought-after destination for Alumni members. Camp Michigania Walloon, nestled in northern Michigan, was established in 1961 for families, couples and singles and hosts summer, fall and winter programs. Camp Michigania East opened in Point O’Pines in New York’s beautiful Adirondack Mountains in 1973 and operates as a girls’ camp for eight weeks during the summer. Each camp is different, but both offer rare opportunities to “get back to basics” in settings that are anything but. You’ll want to make it a yearly outing.
