Mentoring

Get advice from the Leaders and Best who’ve come before you by participating in the 30 Minute Mentors program.

In-person 30 Minute Mentor Sessions

New this year: Each in-person session has an industry focus so you can meet alumni from specific fields. 

Sessions are held in Ann Arbor at the Alumni Center unless otherwise noted. Register online to meet with an alumni volunteer for 30 minutes between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Registration for each session opens approximately two to four weeks before it is scheduled to take place. Undergraduate and graduate students may register to participate.

  • October 2 - Consulting & Finance
  • November 6 - Creative Careers
  • January 22 - Marketing/Advertising/Public Relations
  • February 12 - Entrepreneurship & Technology
  • April 8 - Health & Wellness

Virtual 30 Minute Mentor Sessions

30 Minutes. Infinite Connections. U-M students and recent grads can register online to meet with alumni volunteers from a variety of industries, cities and academic backgrounds. Once registered, students and recent grads will receive contact information so they can follow up directly with their selected alumnus/a via phone, Skype, FaceTime or Google Hangout. We ask you to reach out to alumni immediately to schedule a time to connect, and for connections to occur within one month of selection.
