Fall Colors 2007
October 18-21
SOLD OUT!

Nowhere is fall better than at Michigania, where an autumn holiday brings recreation, enrichment, adventure, relaxation and camaraderie. It's a delightful journey for the heart, body and mind.

Nestled on the shore of beautiful Walloon Lake, Michigania offers fall at its finest. The crunch of leaves beneath your feet, glowing sunsets and night skies that take you back to your childhood.

The program includes all receptions and meals beginning with a welcome reception on the day of arrival and concluding with lunch on the day of departure, and all recreational activities. The Fall Colors Retreat is reserved for adults only.

The Faculty Forum Speaker for the Fall Colors weekend is Henry N. Pollack, PhD. He has been a Professor of Geophysics at the University of Michigan for more than 40 years. In the scientific community, he has earned a reputation as one of the world's leading experts on the temperature of the Earth, both today and in the geological past. An award-winning teacher with a gift for explaining science to non-scientists, Professor Pollack has taken a special interest in helping leaders in government, business and the general public understand the scientific developments associated with global climate change. Over the course of his career, he has educated generations of students, published widely in scientific journals, led his department as chairman, served as an advisor to the US National Science Foundation, testified before Congress, and launched the first international efforts to coordinate research into geothermal evidence of global climate change.
