U-M Center for the Education of Women
The Center for the Education of Women assists many hundreds of women and men each year, as they make decisions about their futures. The comprehensive counseling program supports exploration of educational and career interests within the context of relationships and life circumstances. Professionally trained counselors work within a developmental framework to help women and men consider their options, make informed choices, and both define and resolve problems, while focusing on issues of achieving balance between work and family responsibilities.
Center for Entreprenuership
The Center for Entrepreneurship (CFE) is a Michigan Engineering venture that empowers students, faculty staff and alumni to pursue entrepreneurial achievements that improve people’s lives, drive the economy and help innovators bridge the gap between inventors and venture capitalists. Specifically:
- We help alums that have started their own companies connect to our students to provide employment opportunities
- We facilitate alums/students mentoring opportunities, alum mentoring for small companies, and open up the possibility to alums to invest or partner with students/small companies
- We provide free, on-site information and assistance for alums
- We organize entrepreneurial get-together with alums (such an early spring alum reception at Google)
