The Alumni Association has been recently featured in many online, local and national media publications. Here are highlights of where our name has appeared:
- An article highlighting AAUM's minority student recruitment appeared in the Michgian Daily on March 7.

An article highlighting AAUM's career services appeared in Crain's Detroit Business in late October.
- The Michigan Journal, the student newspaper of the University of Michigan-Dearborn, published an article in October about the AAUM's Michigan Apprentice program.
- On October 7, the Ann Arbor News published a story highlighting the Alumni Association's pep rally.

U-M alumnus Aaron Dworkin, '97, MM'98, is featured in Newsweek magazine's new list of 15 People Who Make America Great. Dworkin joins the likes of Brad Pitt, Soledad O'Brien and the Target Corporation as people or organizations who devote themselves to others. In 1996 Dworkin founded the Sphinx Organization, which is dedicated to increasing minority participation in classical music. Dworkin also is the recipient of a prestigious MacArthur Foundation "Genius Grant" (Michigan Alumnus, Winter 2006). He was also the first alumnus featured in the Alumni Association's "I Am Michigan" advertisement campaign (Michigan Alumnus, Fall 2005).
- In early May, six Web sites, including Yahoo Finance and KVVU TV of Los Angeles, posted information about the University of Michigan Entertainment Coalition's first annual professional luncheon in West Hollywood.
- Stories pertaining to new college graduates appeared in the Grand Haven Tribune and the Ann Arbor News in early May and included quotes from Alumni Association Vice President of Marketing and Communications Cat Serrin Niekro.
- The Little Big House project received publicity in 34 media outlets nationwide-from North Carolina to California and Texas to Michigan. The project also was highlighted in the Ann Arbor News on May 19, in feature photos in the Michigan Daily on May 22, and in the University Record on June 12.
- The University's trip to China, hosted jointly by the Alumni Association and the Office of the President, garnered coverage in the Ann Arbor News on May 24 and in the Michigan Daily on June 12.
- The Michigan Daily published an article on the official stance of the Alumni Association regarding the Michigan Civil Rights Initiative on June 19.
