Professor Martin Walsh holds a PhD.Cantab. from Cambridge University in 17th century drama. He has spent much time in and around London over the last 30 years. An avid student of British history and culture, he has done research in the British Library, the Bodleian Library, and such City of London institutions as the Guildhall, the Vintners’ Company, and the Museum of London. He is intimately familiar with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Globe Theatre having been active in the University Musical Society’s sponsorship of these companies.

He also regularly teaches modern British drama at the Residential College where he heads its drama concentration.
