The Distinguished Alumni Service Award is the highest honor the Alumni Association can bestow upon an alumnus/a on behalf of the University.
Recommendations will be accepted by the University community until Friday, February 19, 2010. Download a printable form or submit the online version below.
DASA nominees will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Level of commitment – a high level of dedication to the University, the depth of involvement, and the amount of time committed. Service of all types is considered, whether working with students, providing leadership to the University and/or the Alumni Association, or serving the University in unique capacity
- Actions taken in support of the University and/or the Alumni Association – service that helps preserve, maintain and promote the traditions of the University
- Impact – amount of impact the nominee’s service has had on the University and/or the Alumni Association
The award is not intended to solely celebrate famous alumni, nor to recognize a distinguished professional career. The DASA cannot be given posthumously or be presented to an individual who is an officer, faculty member or employee of the University or is a member of the Board of Regents. The award is presented each fall, and the recipient must be present to win.
