U-M Login Help

What is a U-M login and why do I need one?

A U-M assigned login name (also referred to as a uniqname) and password are required to access many things. On the Alumni Association Web site, you can login to get details on member benefits, access the online community inCircle, purchase products from our store, register for events, and purchase or renew membership.

On other University Web sites, you can use your U-M login and password to access your transcripts and make gifts to University units.

How do I get a U-M login?

Alumni can obtain a login, determine if you already have one or change your password, by clicking the link below.

Alumni U-M Login Management

U-M login and passwords are managed by Information Technology Services at U-M and not by the Alumni Association. The link above will take you to a Web site created and managed by ITS.

Not a U-M alum?
You can create a U-M Friend account. A Friend account can be created with any active email address. It will let you access log-in protected areas of our Web site, but it won’t give you access to alumni-only resources like inCircle.

Why is it so hard to create an “approved” password?

While U-M login and passwords are managed by Information Technology Services at U-M and not by the Alumni Association, we do hear this concern occasionally.
