To change your name, title or address, call the Alumni Records Office at 734.647.6190.
How do I inform the University of the death of an alumnus/a?
Call the Alumni Records Office at 734.647.6190 and be prepared to give them the following information:
- University/alumni identification number
- Full name (including the name the deceased attended under, if different)
- Degree year
- School/college attended (e.g., College of Engineering)
- Date of death
I need to know my membership ID number. Where can I find it?
Your membership ID number can be found on most University and Association publications. It is the 10-digit number beginning with at least three zeros found above your name. You can also call the Alumni Association Customer Service department at 800.847.4764 (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Eastern) or e-mail m.alumni@umich.edu
Over the years, I've lost touch with a college friend. How can I contact them?
The Alumni Association cannot release an address or telephone number due to privacy concerns, but as a membership benefit we will forward a message for you. Just enter the information requested into our online alumni locator form (member login required), and we will try to locate your friend! If you are not a member of the Alumni Association, contact the Alumni Records office at 734.647.6190.
How do I contact Bank of America regarding my University of Michigan Alumni Association credit card?
Contact Bank of America at 800.421.2110 or visit their Web site at www.bankofamerica.com.
Is my Alumni Association membership tax deductible?
Alumni Association membership dues are tax deductible for individuals who itemize deductions. Please consult your tax advisor for details. Our standard process is to mail you a receipt if your membership dues payment is $250 or more. If your dues payment is under $250, your credit card statement or cancelled check will serve as a receipt for your tax returns.
I haven't received my season ticket order form or want to get athletic tickets. What should I do?

Where can I golf in Ann Arbor?
Contact the University of Michigan Golf Course at www.mgoblue.com/umgc or 734.615.4653, or contact Radrick Golf Course at www.umich.edu/~radrick or 734.998.7040. Alumni have playing privileges at the University course; simply show your Alumni Association membership card.
Can I continue my umich.edu e-mail accountr?
You can use e-mail forwarding, which gives you a “umich.edu” address but forwards mail to another e-mail account, like Yahoo or a work e-mail address. E-mail forwarding is not an e-mail account but a forwarding service only.
To use the e-mail forwarding feature, you must have access to the Internet, maintain an e-mail account (e.g. through a commercial provider, your employer, etc.) and have a U-M uniqname and password. All U-M alumni can take advantage of free e-mail forwarding.
Email forwarding requires a U-M Uniqname. See our U-M Login Help page if you don’t have a uniqname or have forgotten your password.
After you have your uniqname, sign up for email forwarding at the ITCS Web site.

How do I get a copy of my diploma or transcript?
For copies of your diploma or transcript, please contact the Registrar's Office at 734.763.5174, via e-mail at registrar@umich.edu, or on the Internet atwww.umich.edu/~regoff.
I would like to donate historical documents to the University. Whom do I talk to? Or, I would like to learn more about a historical person who was connected to the University. Where do I go?

Do alumni have borrowing privileges at the libraries on campus?
You may borrow from all of the libraries in the University Library system by purchasing an alumni/guest borrower card. You can request an application for an alumni or guest borrowing card at the Graduate Library North Circulation Desk (734.764.0400).
I'm going to visit the Ann Arbor area and need a place to stay. Whom do I call?

Can I purchase a membership at the campus athletic facilities as an alumnus/a?
Yes. Contact Rec Sports at www.recsports.umich.edu or via e-mail atrecsports@umich.edu. You can also contact the individual recreation buildings at the following numbers:

I just graduated from the University and want to join the Alumni Association. What do I do?
Within one year of graduation, you are entitled to receive a free, one-year membership. You may activate your membership here. Alumni who graduated within the last three years are entitled to an annual membership at $25 per year (a savings of $34 per year). After that point, annual memberships are $69 per year. Annual memberships may be purchased online.
