Fifth Annual Art Fair Alumni Ice Cream Social

Friday, July 17, 2009
5–7 p.m.
Alumni Center
Ann Arbor, Michigan

The summer art fairs are an Ann Arbor tradition and our annual Alumni Ice Cream Social is quickly becoming a tradition in its own right. Whether you live just down the block or on the other side of the country, if you’re going to be in Ann Arbor on Friday, July 17, make sure your plans include this FREE, fun-filled event. This event is open to all Alumni Association members and current U-M students.

Long-time Ann Arbor favorite, Stucchi’s, will provide the ice cream, and we provide the venue and a variety of fun toppings (including the cherry for on top!) So whether you’re 8 or 80, from near-by or far-away, ice cream will taste even better when eaten with your Maize and Blue family.

No need to pre-register. Just stop by anytime between 5-7 p.m.

For those of you who haven’t been to the art fairs in a while or think it’s too big of a hassle to visit Ann Arbor during the fairs, here’s some information we hope you’ll find helpful. And if you have any questions, contact our Customer Relations team at 800.847.4764 (during regular business hours) or email m.alumni@umich.edu.

The Ann Arbor Street Art Fair is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year! Founded in 1960, the Ann Arbor Street Fair is the original of the now four award-winning fairs that make up the Ann Arbor Summer Art Fairs. Held on Ingalls Mall lawn around the Burton Memorial Tower and on North University, the Street Art Fair includes over 150 juried artists, eight New Artists from local universities and colleges, the Potters Guild and an array of free art activities and performances for the whole family to enjoy.
