Association News

Post-college life usually plunges grads into the “real world” of adult life. But make sure you take some time to be a kid again this summer by taking a trip to an amusement or theme park. The Alumni Association makes it easy—we’ve got discounted tickets to Cedar Point, “America’s Roller Coast.” You'll save $10.70 on any-day, adult tickets and $1.95 on junior tickets. Discounts on tickets to Six Flags, Disneyland, Busch Gardens, Universal Studios and other amusement parks are available through WorkingAdvantage.com, an online benefit provider that all Alumni Association members have free access to. For details on WorkingAdvantage discounts, click here.

Money can be tight the first few years after college—student loans and other “get your life going” costs can really add up. But that doesn’t mean you have to deprive yourself of life’s necessities (and yes, by necessities, we mean iPods and TiVo). Cheapstingybastard.com helps you find the finer things in life at lower prices than you’ll pay anywhere else. Visit the site for daily online coupons, sales announcements, and, even, free stuff.

When you’re thrown into a new situation, the lingo can be befuddling. Trying to decipher corporate lingo can be a lot like the days before you knew what the “UgLi” was or why everyone kept telling you to talk to your “GSI.” Visit Hatch Magazine for translations of the most common corporate speak. So the next time your boss says he “just wanted to close the loop,” you’ll know he just wants to keep you informed about an issue you are involved in.
