U-M Officials to Visit China

The Alumni Association of the University of Michigan and the Office of the President are jointly hosting a visit to China in May 2006. Key U-M leaders will be traveling to Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai to meet with alumni, regional alumni volunteers and leaders at some of U-M's partner educational institutions.

The intent of the visit is to provide:

  • Thoughtful discussion of important international issues of the day, led by Kenneth Lieberthal, U-M Arthur F. Thurnau Professor of Political Science and William Davidson Professor of Business Administration
  • A year in review—one year after U-M President Mary Sue Coleman's meetings with alumni in Beijing and Shanghai, led by Robert Kelch, executive vice president for U-M medical affairs and chief executive officer of U-M Health System
  • Introduction of Steve Grafton, Alumni Association president, and information sharing about the alumni relations program

Alumni, current students and friends of U-M are welcome!
