Calling all Michigan foodies!

Take a break from lunch at your desk Oct. 7 to hear Ruth Reichl, UM Alumnus, award-winning chef, well-known food critic and  pioneer of the Berkeley culinary revolution.

Ruth Reichl, UM B.A/M.A. and former Food Critic for the New York Times will speaking over the lunch hour in Palo Alto at the Oshman Family JCC --  off 101 at San Antonio.

Reichl, Gourmet magazine’s editor-in-chief,  was stunned when the publication abruptly closed in 2009.
Filled with uncertainty, she turned to the one place that always provided her comfort – the kitchen.

Reichl reflects on that time and describes how the simple pleasures of cooking helped her find joy again.
