Once again, it is time for the annual Big Ten Flag Football tournament! Please come out and join us as we take on all the Big Ten alumni here in Denver. Each team will be co-ed and is guaranteed to play in 3 games. New this year, the winning team will be awarded money for a charity of their choice! Also there will be snacks and food provided! Historic Annapolis Foundation is currently planning its 18th annual Annapolis by Candlelight on Friday, November 6th and Saturday, November 7th. As you may have already heard, this year's tour will feature homes on Cornhill Street , Fleet Street, East Street, Prince George Street and State Circle . Additionally, the Maryland Inn and Governor Calvert House will be open.

I hope you will consider joining us as a candlelight volunteer. To ensure all houses are staffed and ready to open promptly and to guarantee that shift changes occur smoothly, shifts will be from 4:30p.m. to 7:15p.m. and from 6:45p.m. to 9:15p.m.

In return for your generous help, you will be given free admission to the event. In addition to admitting you into the private homes, your Annapolis by Candlelight button will also entitle you to discounts in many area restaurants and entrance into the HAF Members' Only home even if you are not already a Foundation member. Additionally, as an added thank you, you will receive an invitation to the Annual Volunteer Appreciation Party in September.

The first, Schubert Unfinished Symphony is Nov 7-8, 2009 at the Hemmens Theatre in Elgin. These concerts will premier a piece entitled "Letters from Lincoln" by Dr. Michael Daugherty. Dr. Daugherty is the current Professor of Composition at University of Michigan. The second concert, Brahms & Shostakovich January 9-10, 2010 at the Hemmens Theatre in Elgin will feature guest conductor Tania Miller. Ms. Miller received her D.M.A and Masters in Conducting from Michigan, and is currently serving as the first female music director of a Canadian Orchestra (Victoria Symphony Orchestra).

The osu Bust will be held at the beautiful Arnaldo's Banquet Center. Our featured guest speaker is Angelique S. Chengelis, Detroit News sports writer and author. Angelique has recently published her book "100 Things Michigan Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die." She has won numerous industry honors including the 1997 Michigan Associated Press Sports Editors (ASPE) award for her coverage of Michigan football.

We have invited several former Michigan football players including John Ghinda Sr & Jr, Dennis Brown, and Brody Killian who will tell us about their experiences playing ohio state.

The guided tour will start out with an opportunity to meet with and hear from Kaywin Feldman, the director and president of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, who is also a graduate of the University of Michigan. This exhibition features works of art drawn from all eight of the Musee du Louvre's departments, spanning 4,000 years. Organized by the Musee du Louvre, Paris, and the High Museum of Art, Atlanta.

Former OSU football player Matt Finkes is the president of the Gold Pants Club, and they're organizing a UM v OSU dinner the week of The Game. They will be putting on the dinner Thursday night before the OSU/Michigan game this year at the Mandalay Conference Center here in Dayton.

While this is a scholarship fundraiser for OSU, Matt has convinced 3 outstanding former Wolverine players to be on hand (Butch Woolfolk, Gordie Bell, and Rob Lytle). The dinner is going to be in a format of "funny stories by both sides" about the rivalry as told by the players involved.
