Bowl Tour Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who can travel on the Official U-M Bowl Tour?

All U-M fans are welcome on the Official U-M bowl Tour. You will need to become a member of the Alumni Association and membership is open to anyone with an interest in U-M. If you're not a member already, then an annual membership will be added to the cost of your travel package. If demand exceeds supply, priority for bowl tours will go to those who were current AAUM members as of noon Eastern on Friday, November 16, 2007.

Q: I want to go on the bowl tour. What should I do?

Visit www.michigansportstours.com to fill out an online application via our travel partner, Conlin Athletic Tours.

You may also call Conlin Athletic Tours at 877.GOBLUE1. The phones will be staffed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time, Monday through Friday.

To fill out an application for the Official U-M Bowl Tour, you will need your Alumni ID number. The number begins with at least three 0's or three 9's and appears in the following places:

• On your Alumni Association membership card
• On the mailing panel of most Alumni Association and University mailings
• In a yellow box on the mailing panel of Michigan Alumnus magazine
• In the top part of e-TrueBlue e-newsletter sent weekly to AAUM members and monthly to nonmember alumni

You can also get your Alumni ID number by contacting the Alumni Association Customer Relations Department at 800.847.4764 or m.alumni@umich.edu. Please note that the Alumni Association offices are open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Eastern time.

If you cannot find your Alumni ID number, you can still fill out an application, but we will verify AAUM membership.

Q: Will I be able to get game tickets through the Alumni Association?

The AAUM will sell a variety of tour packages, and all tour packages will include game tickets.

Q: Why should I travel on the tour?

The Alumni Association offers the Official University of Michigan Bowl Tour. Our tour offers the convenience, reputation and peace-of-mind you want—so you can focus on enjoying yourself and cheering on the football team. We have years of experience offering U-M athletic tours and are the only Official University of Michigan Bowl Tour operator. Included are:

• Variety of tour options, including air-inclusive
• Deluxe hotel with wonderful amenities and great location
• Game ticket to the Rose Bowl
• Exclusive U-M souvenir package
• Official U-M pre-game tailgate with plenty of Michigan spirit and fun for the entire family
• University of Michigan Pep Rally, including players and the U-M Marching Band.

Q: I will be traveling on my own or live in the bowl game area, what events can I participate in?

The AAUM will also host a pregame tailgate that is open to all U-M fans and friends. Tailgate tickets may be purchased online. A limited number may be sold on site; however, to avoid disappointment, we strongly encourage you to order tickets in advance.

The Capital One Bowl a Palooza pep rally will be held at the Orange County Convention Center (Hall A) on Sunday, December 30 beginning at 5:00 pm. This event is open to the public but does require a $5 per person admission fee. The Michigan Marching Band, Cheerleaders, players and coaches are all scheduled to attend. Q: I am part of the Victor's Club/a season ticket holder. May I purchase my game tickets through the Office of Athletics?

Yes. Victor's Club members and season ticket holders on our tour may choose to purchase bowl game tickets directly through the Office of Athletics. They can be contacted at www.mgoblue.com or 734.764.0247.

Q: My question is not answered here. Who should I contact?
