Best Practices for Alumni Clubs

Best Practices: Example #42

Club nameU of M Club of Charlotte
What made you choose this method of promotion? It is an easy way to identify the club and get complete and accurate contact info into the hands of prospective members.
Why is this means of promotion better than other methods? It is face to face and you don't have to take time to identify yourself or write down contact info.
Who helped to make this happen (stranger from local paper, AAUM, club member w/connections)?Actually, the idea was borrowed from the Iowa club and a former member of the AAUM staff made them up for me.
How much did this cost the club?I honestly don't remember. In the small quantity, it was too expensive to continue. I am thinking of using computer stock to use for the current group of officers and directors.
How far in advance of needing it did you have to prepare the materials (how much planning did it take)? If you do it commercially, it would take at least two weeks in one color. Longer if more than one color. Doing it on a computer would be quicker, smaller quantities would be required, and changes could be made very quickly-either in positions or individual information.
How did this benefit the club?It gives a certain stature to each officer and board member as well as giving them and the club credibility when making a contact.
Is there additional information you would like to share? No
