Not sure when we started this
A few people got together and came up with the idea of doing something for the swim team.
Three to four people. It requires about three or four hours per event.
About $70 to $90
No charge. We used club funds.
It was our way of providing team members with a memorabilia of Hawaii.
About six to 12 alumni
Because of increased security at airports, we no longer greet the team as it arrives. We arrange with the coach to meet with the team and present the leis. The leis are made of kukui nuts and are something that team members can keep for a long time. We also did something similar for the women's volleyball team when it visited Hawaii.
