Michigania East

Interested in a refreshing vacation and reviving your Michigan connection at the same time (without the trip back to the Midwest)? Then Michigania-East is the perfect place to reinvigorate. At Michigania-East, the Alumni Association’s family camp in New York’s beautiful Adirondack Mountains, you can spend your days boating, swimming and horseback riding, trying your hand at ceramics, or getting active by waterskiing or playing tennis – all with fellow Michigan families.

The camp is open to all members of the Alumni Association and their families, including singles, single parents with children, and couples with or without children. Enjoy recreational activities such as archery, arts and crafts, sailing, canoeing, rowing, ceramics, field sports, horseback riding, swimming and tennis as a family or kids can participate in scheduled activities with trained staff.

Please check back for the dates of the upcoming Michigania-East season. Rates for the week correspond to the ages of the camper. The weekly rate covers lodging in the cabins, most activities and three meals a day. The following rates apply:

Adult: $760
Age 13-17: $655
Age 7-12: $525
Age 3-6: $435
Age 0-2: $280

Michigania-East is located on a 25-acre peninsula in upstate New York’s Adirondack Mountains. The camp is northeast of Lake George and about 30 miles from Fort Ticonderoga, near Chestertown. The camp is the site of Point O’ Pines Camp for Girls through the summer, but is home to Michigan alumni and their families each year for one week in August.
